SPSS Conference to Showcase How Data Drives Decision-Making for Organizations Striving for Success 

~ Noted author of Super Crunchers to keynote
at SPSS Directions 2008 European User Conference ~

SPSS Inc. (NASDAQ: SPSS), a leading worldwide provider of Predictive Analytics software and services, today announced its third annual European customer conference, Directions 2008, to be held in Athens, Greece from May 12 – 15. SPSS customers presenting at the upcoming conference include Deloitte Consulting, Vodafone, P&G / Braun, Credit Suisse and GfK.

The keynote speaker will be Ian Ayres, economist, professor and author of best-selling book Super Crunchers: Why Thinking-by-Numbers is the New Way to Be Smart. Ayres is a regular columnist for Forbes magazine and The New York Times.His research has also been featured on the television shows Oprah and Good Morning America and in Time and American Vogue magazines. Ayres’ best-seller examines how today’s most successful organizations can rapidly analyze large databases to provide greater insights into human behaviour. Ayres notes this new breed of decision-makers is leading the way and delivering accurate results drawn from data.

Attendees at Directions will have the opportunity to examine and explore the business benefits of Predictive Analytics and Enterprise Feedback Management technology. They will learn directly from international customers how they are tackling and overcoming business challenges using SPSS solutions.
