A Broad Range of Capabilities for the Analytical Process

There's much more involved in data analysis than just doing analysis. Most likely, before you start analysis you have to get data ready, and then, once analysis is complete, you need to put results into a format people can use. If you're using software that has limited capabilities, you have to piece together products from a variety of vendors to get your job done. Wouldn't it be easier to get all products for the analytical process from one source? SPSS can give you everything you need for the analytical process-from planning to data management to analysis to sharing results-and it all works together.

SPSS' capabilities for the analytical process includes products for: planning, data collection, data access, data management and preparation, data analysis, reporting and deployment.
The analytical process shows the steps involved to get your data ready for analysis, analyze, report your data, and share results. The products available for each stage are shown above and links to each product page are below.

Using SPSS products streamlines the entire analytical process. Because SPSS products work together, you don't have to duplicate work that might be required if you use products from a variety of vendors. For example, with a multi-vendor solution you would have to enter variable labels (such as gender or income level) when collecting data, re-enter them when doing analysis, and enter them again when creating a report. If you collect data in Dimensions or SPSS Data Entry, however, variables established in the data collection stage are carried through to SPSS. So you can concentrate on analysis instead of data management and preparation.

If you conduct survey or market research, such as for enterprise feedback management, you can seamlessly use products from the SPSS Family with Dimensions survey research software. For example, collect survey data in Dimensions, import data to SPSS to create multiple-item indices for scoring questions, and export the new variables and append them to your original data so that they can be analyzed through Dimensions.

Choose the software you need, and incorporate additional modules and software as required. For enterprise-strength scalability, additional tools, security, and enhanced performance, you can use an optional server version.

Note that many products require the corresponding version of SPSS Base in order to operate.
