SmartScore is a software development kit (SDK) that uses an efficient data mining technique called scoring to deploy predictive models. These models, which are derived from historical and sampled data and created in a separate software application, classify information for new cases or customers and deliver scores that can provide a rational basis for decisions. In SmartScore, the score is delivered in real time to either a person or a system so decisions made are based on an accurate customer or prospect profile.
Because SmartScore is an SDK, enterprises can develop flexible, custom applications to fit their specific needs. Applications built with this SDK can be set up to operate in interactive mode or production mode. SmartScore can be the basis of either a client/server or desktop environment.
SmartScore, written in Java, offers APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), which can read models written to the XML (Extensive Markup Language) subset PMML (Predictive Model Markup Language).
