For over a decade, the SPSS ShowCase Suite has delivered real, measurable benefits to organizations of all sizes in operational areas such as finance, human resources, logistics, production, purchasing, and sales.
Recently, SPSS signed a new agreement with Oracle that extends its previous agreement with Hyperion Solutions. Our new relationship gives SPSS the ability to port the necessary components and directly sell, service and support the latest releases of the Oracle Essbase and Web Analysis (Analyzer) components for IBM i (System i) customers.
Since Oracle's acquisition of Hyperion Solutions, they have demonstrated that they are committed to enhancing Hyperion's technologies by delivering several important enhancements to the technologies. Oracle recently released a newly branded Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) System which includes the former Hyperion System 9 technologies. SPSS is now working directly with Oracle to ensure that the capabilities of this new release (Oracle EPM 11.1.1) are available for IBM i customers.
With this new release, SPSS is excited to be able to provide a number of analytical enhancements to the already-powerful analytic engine and improved interfaces for end users. Some of these include:
* Time intelligence features that will allow organizations to analyze date-sensitive information in ways that make sense for their specific business needs
* Enhancements to minimize the amount of down time needed to load new data into analytical applications
* Improved integration with Microsoft Office applications
Our plans are to start a beta program for this new release in Q4 2008 with general availability in Q1 2009.
