CHICAGO -- July 12, 1999 -- Attesting to the business world's demand for software that helps people make
better decisions, data mining vendor SPSS Inc. placed No. 97 on the Software 500. The Software 500, published
by Software Magazine, ranks the world's largest software vendors based solely on software revenue. SPSS' 1998
net revenues totaled $121 million.
