Using mrScan, you can open a survey created in mrPaper, and prepare it for scanning with just a few mouseclicks. Once you've transferred it to the ReadSoft FORMS Manager and printed your paper copies, you can begin scanning-all within a few minutes!
With mrScan, you can:
- Include any number of questions or pages in your survey
- Format your questions without the constraints of pre-set layouts
- Automate the identification and setup of all respondent input areas of your survey questionnaire, such as tick boxes, letters, and numbers for optical mark reading (OMR) or optical character recognition (OCR)
- Access ReadSoft's leading scanning software, completely and without restriction, after the automatic setup has been completed by mrScan
- Ensure proper validation by associating each response with the appropriate question and question type
- Scan open-ended responses and either save them as images or as text responses for coding later with SPSS Inc.'s Verbastat™ software
- Check for mistakes, such as missing responses or too many responses for a question
