System Requirements for mrInterview 5.X (Standard and Professional) and mrInterview CATI 5.X
Single Machine Install
Operating system and software
- A 32-bit version of Microsoft® Windows® Server™ 2003 Standard or Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 2. Installation on 64-bit versions of the operating system is not supported.
- Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 6.0 or later
- Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 or later (supplied)
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (supplied)
Hardware
- Processor: Intel® Pentium®-class processor running at 1GHz or faster
- Memory: 512MB RAM minimum; more recommended
- Disk space: 200MB minimum
- Display: 1024 x 768 or higher-resolution graphics adaptor, supporting minimum 16-bit color quality
- CD-ROM drive for installation
Addition software
- Dimensions Development Library™ (supplied and recommended)
- Microsoft Office Web Components (OWC) version 10 or later (for the charting feature of the Phone Reports activity only)
- Microsoft SQL Server™ 2005 or SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 4 or Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition
Note: Server applications are not supported on Vista®. SQL Server 2005 Express Edition is appropriate for those users who are not conducting multi-modal server-based interviewing and who’s interviewing and web-deployment reporting needs are not significant. Please speak with your account representative to make sure you are choosing the option that would best support your business needs.

Multi-machine install
Users wishing to set up interviewing clusters should consider the following operating system, hardware, and additional software requirements for each of the tiers within the cluster.

Web Service
Operating system and software
- A 32-bit or 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard or Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 2, and
- Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 6.0 or later
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0 (6.0 supplied)

Please note that the disk space requirements for the services above are the total amounts that each service requires. There are 50MB of components shared among all services. Some components are shared among certain services but not others. The disk space totals here include these shared components. Therefore, the total disk space required to install two or more services is usually less than the sum of the disk space required for installing the services individually.
