SPSS Germany is expanding its focus on complex solutions even further. This
position is designed to provide an expert level support for the sales force
in a complex sales environment. During the sales process the Senior SE will
be working in a close relationship with the Account Manager and all other
relevant departments to make the sale successful. Her/his main focus is on
business development and mapping the customer requirements to the solution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Senior SE will be providing expert level business expertise
and will be mapping the customer requirements to a possible solution. She/he
is closely working with the Account Manager and the Services department
to provide all relevant information. This involves coordination of external
resources (like partners and third party vendors).
- Planning and coordination of PoC’s and workshops. Should
be capable of delivering also an analytical PoC on her/his own when necessary.
- Support of marketing events (like roadshows and webinars) as well
as presentations at customers and conferences/workshops. Another component
is the development of new materials and presentations.
Position Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics, Data Mining or equivalent
containing a strong numerical component, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years work experience in a presales position, in a customer
facing environment with a software or consulting services provider
- Experience with projects that involve integrating multiple technologies
and datasets to solve a business problem.
- Detailed experience in Retail or Finance/Banking
- Very good presentation skills
- Knowledge of SPSS and/or Clementine a plus
- Ability to work in a team in complex sales situations
- Proficient in English, spoken and written, as well as German -to mother
tongue level
- Willingness to travel

We are currently seeking an Account Representative. Based at our office in
Munich you will be selling a full range of SPSS offerings back into the customer
base and to newly acquired customers. The position requires a self-motivated & driven
individual with experience in selling to prospects and qualifying leads over
the phone. Ability to progress in the long term to Field Sales. Full training
and support will be given.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with all telephone, web and email sales enquiries from new prospects
and existing SPSS customers. In addition as part of this team you will
handle in-coming customer service and non-technical calls as well as being
responsible for the sale of core SPSS products, training, and maintenance,
dealer and web orders.
- Qualification need using a predefined departmental sales methodology
of customer
- Providing written quotations, seminars, webinars and marketing materials
to meet and support customer requirements
- Offering related software, training, and maintenance products
- As a result of incoming and outgoing sales activities, create and maintain
customer contact information, lead and opportunities, within the SPSS Contact
Management system.
- Providing a level of customer service which supports the departmental
objectives
- In addition to dealing with all incoming enquires it is the responsibility
of Account Representatives to call leads generated by Marketing and to
proactively call into the customer base with the view to increasing sales
revenue.
Requirements include:
- Degree incorporating an element of analytics
- Computer literacy
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work on your own initiative within a busy team environment
