SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services is a platform that enables you to manage your organization’s analytical assets. You can automate business processes and store objects from SPSS Inc. or a third-party software provider within a secure, auditable repository. In addition, you can control access to your analytical assets by setting permissions that allow others to view and manage them.
SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services consists of the following components:
- The Predictive Enterprise Repository, which enables you to store business objects within a secure, audited, searchable, version-controlled repository
- The Predictive Enterprise Administrator, a browser-based tool that provides you with an interface for configuring SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services
- The Predictive Enterprise Manager, an Eclipse-based client application, which allows job schedules to run on a recurring pattern and sends e-mail notifications indicating the failure or success of these jobs. You can also view, export, and import repository objects via this interface.
- The Predictive Enterprise Browser is a Web browser interface that enables you to search and view repository objects and create reports
- The Predictive Enterprise View combines your data—which may come from a variety of sources—into a common view. You can then determine who may access the data.
Currently, SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services integrates with SPSS ® and Clementine ®. Visit the Product Compatibility Matrix on the Support Web site to determine what versions of SPSS products are supported with the existing SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services releases. You’ll also find operating system, application server, and database requirements for SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services.
The list below summarizes when support for SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services was integrated into certain SPSS products:
- SPSS–The execution of SPSS syntax files against an SPSS Server was available with SPSS 13.0. The ability to store and retrieve SPSS syntax files from the repository was introduced with SPSS 14.1 client. SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services 3.0 currently supports 14.x and 15.x versions (15.0.1 is required for remote SPSS Server configuration), and 16.x.
- Clementine–The ability to store and retrieve streams from the repository, along with the ability to schedule these streams to run automatically, has been available since Clementine 9.x. When new versions of Clementine were released, new packages were created that allowed you to update your environment. SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services 2.0 supported 9.x, 10.0, 10.1, 10.1.1 and 11.0. However, because of certain requirements, SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services 3.0 only supports Clementine 11.1. Clementine 12.0 is supported in SPSS Predictive Enterprise Services 3.0.
