Logistic Regression for Health Care

Course Description

This one-day course is an optional 5th day of advanced training for those who are attending (or have previously attended) “Statistical Methods for Health Care Research” (SM4HCR). In this session you will build on your knowledge of Linear Regression and be introduced to Logistic Regression (available in SPSS Regression Module). We will include categorical predictors in Regression models via dummy variables, discuss variable selection methods, model building philosophies and learn how to run and interpret Logistic Regression in SPSS.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of the basics of SPSS and statistics equivalent to the level covered by “Statistical Methods for Health Care Research”
