Our Successes
SPSS Professional Services has successfully delivered a Fraud Detection pilot project to a large Australian insurance organisation. Thus far the solution has completed through a pilot stage, though further stages are sure to follow.
We worked together with client staff using a large data extraction for approximately three weeks. The client was particularly concerned to both detect instances of known past frauds (in order to evaluate the ability and effectiveness of the software to find actuals) and to find possible new occurrences. We succeeded on both counts, providing a list of suspect persons and activities to follow up. They were particularly impressed that we were able to identify suspects in such a short time frame, compared to the months that it had taken them to locate the fraud using their current tools.
The client is now actively investigating the new possible cases to determine if any fraudulent activity is indeed taking place. They are also determining how best to use Clementine software within their organisation if and when they purchase.
