Dimensions Development Library (DDL) sample files are located in the C:\Program Files\SPSS MR\DDL folder. This folder contains the following subfolders:

Program files in the DDL. Click image to enlarge.
An easy way to run one of the sample applications is to find it in Windows Explorer. Double-click on the executable file. This opens the appropriate application.
Each sample program is reasonably self-explanatory, and you can find limited reference material in theonline documentation. If you've started MDM Explorer, which enables you to explore the structure of the metadata file, click File > Open, and select an .mdd file from the selection in the Samples\ Data\ XML directory. (We suggest the museum.mdd file.) With the metadata file loaded, you can explore the structure of the metadata model by browsing the tree structure.
Browsing through the code of these programs, or customizing them to meet your needs, is an excellent way to learn the application program interfaces (APIs) of the Dimensions Data Model™, and begin to put it to work. Thorough reference information on APIs is available in the DDL documentation.
